Alice May Wallace

Alice May Wallace, 82, of Burket, passed at 2:15 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center.

Alice was born on Jan. 15, 1941, in Wautoma, Wis., to the late Ernest and Jenny (White) Richtmyre. On June 10, 1972, in the city of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., she married Delbert Dean Wallace; he preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 2010. She had been a homemaker and also worked in the printing business. Alice enjoyed traveling and served as the navigator on trips with her husband. She was always very organized and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and even mechanic work. She collected stuffed animals and was fond of Shirley Temple.

Surviving is her daughter, DeEnna Wallace, of Silver Lake; grandsons, Joshua and Dakota Norman; great-grandson, Jaiden Norman; and brothers, David (Carol) Richtmyre, of Pensacola, Fla., and Phillip (Jean) Richtmyre, of Cadot, Wis.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Paul; and sisters, Ruth, Effie, Alrene, Hazel and Pearl.

The funeral service will take place at noon Thursday, April 27, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with Pastor Rod Ruberg officiating.

The interment will take place following the service in the South Union Cemetery, Nappanee (Locke Township), located on County Road 50.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday, April 27, at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
